Exhibit Our Pride and Honor

Ilocos Sur is a province rich in culture that represents the ancient Spanish and Filipino heritage. To show and share their treasures to the whole world, the locals conceived a festival that highlights these cultural traditions and they called it the “Kannadiwan Festival” held in the Heritage City of Vigan.

This festival at the end of January celebrates the best of Ilocos Sur culture. This province is best known for its historical sites, delicacies, customs and traditions and different festivals.

Incumbent Governor Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano started the festival three years ago to celebrate the culture and heritage of Ilocos Sur.

Kannawidan opened with a celebration of mass at the St. Paul Cathedral and a town procession of the patron saints of all the towns of Ilocos Sur. The capitol of the province in Vigan City is usually decorated with woven baskets, makeshift bahay kubo and kalesa. Lanterns were hung from trees and posts around the plaza in front of the provincial capitol.

This year's Kannawidan though welcomed the people with a blast. Drone show with a touch of fireworks that lit up the night sky.

Moreover, the provincial government is always inviting artists, personalities and entertainers just to give amusement to people of Ilocos Sur and even tourists coming from different places.

This is truly a very nice festival, something to visit and experience. What Ilocos Sur has to offer. Ilocos Sur and the people's true pride and honor.

Change Starts With Me

Nothing is better than starting change with yourself before having what's around you change themselves. In a way that your surroundings' affected by the change happening within you.

Everyone has their own opinions on how life is already to them. But nowadays, most people would say that it haven't been kind to them and would rant about change and stuff. But then, how would they move on if they do not start it with themselves and act instead of just getting satisfied with talking.

The humans were blessed with intellect and a set of skills, and have been placed on Earth for a purpose. A lot of people think that doing the positive change is quite impossible, for an average individual that is. However, I believe and we must believe that each and every single one of us can make a difference. Even a small stone, when set off to the waters could make a ripple which adds up to the others.

A small change when done by many and when combined becomes a way of changing the way we want to. And what i meant with small changes is like smiling and wishing someone "Good Morning", a simple thanks to show appreciation, and others. Or if you can and want to, a house for the homeless would be nice. Joining in charities and stuff.

There are a lot of ways to contribute to the change we all want. If you really want and desire it to happen, you will find a way yourself to help. Without waiting to be told upon.

There are opportunities everywhere, we just have to look properly and grab it. Together as one. Let the change in you radiate to your surroundings.

Viva Vigan!

Vigan City Fiesta is celebrated every 25th of January. It is held in honour of St. Paul the Apostle, the city's patron saint.

Along with the longganisa festival, there

are also other activities that were prepared in celebration of the city's fiesta.

Locals and tourists gather in the duration of the fiesta.

Moreover, thousands of visitors from different places also join in and enjoy the street dancing, food fairs, and a carnival.

The longganisa festival, which is by far the most attended depicts the making of Vigan longganisa which is a centuries-old tradition of the local makers.

New Year, New Me! (slight)

A new chapter has begun.

I hope and pray that this year be good and amazing.

A New Beginning. Fresh Start. Resolutions.

These are what gets the people riled up for the newly
welcomed year. And this year has been blessed with a lot of great things to look forward to.

Although the sad reality of it is that most of these resolutions only last for a few months, weeks, and even days. Some resolutions break.

Even with slight changes, I still think the phrase "New Year, New Me" still applies to me. I mean, it doesn't necessarily need to be a new you completely. It could be a start of a change. And a good one at that.

As a newly turned leaf that I have decided to become, the first thing I wanna do is fulfill simple resolutions. Just like saving money from my allowance and starting the day early for school and as a daily routine.

A better me for a new chapter.
